Preferably Italian, and has to be in Wokingham, not Reading, Braknall, Sheffield or Glasgow.

I've heard that Zizzi's is nice!?

If you fancy Thai instead though – I've had some nice meals at the Teak House …

Ruchetta in Rose Street is very good, but not the cheapest.

For after the Trax ride presumably? The shop's in the middle of nowhere, so why Wokingham?

    iMMO is ok.

If your going to Mountain Trax I'd recommend the Bull at Barkham, it's almost next door. Good food and good beer.

Well you have a nice choice Wokingham specialises in Italians or and Indians

Sorrentos on Peach St old school Itailian
Rossini on Denmark St as above
Perzzo on Denmark St standard chain food
    Immo on Broad upmarket Perzzo
    Zizzi on Broad St. Nice
The Courtyard in the Townhall Market place. Nice to sit outside if the weather is nice
Don Benni on Denmark St if you want pizza
Ruchetta on rose st. Very nice but posh and expensive

Don Benni make a good pizza and seem to have some nice specials I was there yesterday and it seems OK.

Not all that special though to be honest.

I'm not convinced that Wokingham is the epicentre of food culture having worked here for the last two months.

Guy's in the office say Ruchetta too.

Sounds as if you may have to venture further..
Mya la carte in Reading is fab, but I'm biased.
Or Jamie Olivers' Italian just opened which might be good.

Yep can vouch for Mya la carte. If you like Chinese then the Szechuan Inn on Bean Oak Road is good.

ruchetta for "restuarant" style italian, sorrento or rossini for traditional and regional italian food with a home cooked feel, don beni for a lively atmostsphere and massive portions, the courtyard for the widest selection, or if in reading the sister restuarant la dolce vita is good too. The others are all ok as they are chains zizi, prezzo so if you have been to one you should know what you're getting. Not tried immo, wife said it was average.Alternatively Miltons just outside town is pretty good too. If you want something else, other than italian there are some ok indians too and the teak house thai, or pad thai in the red lion pub is ok too. Happy anniverasry and have a great time
