I had a look at the Bike Radar 'how to service Reba forks' guide and it says that the removal of the dust seals and the sponge underneath should ideally be done by a local bike shop. Is it that difficult as I wouldve thought they would just pull out?

have never serviced forks before though so what do I know!

    Advice welcome

When I serviced my Rebas I left the seals in place, but carefully picked out the foams,to clean them.

Unless there is any obvious wear to the seals, leave them alone.

They can be wedged in very tight, but if you use a big DH tire lever with the bit thats levering against the fork lowers covered in something to stop it chipping the paint, i cant see what can go wrong

New ones go in with suitable sized sockets to tap them down into place. or buy a fancy tool for it
