just back from holidays and my Rebas were stuck . had to put a lot of forece to get them to move and now the U turn doesnt work past the 100mm .
doesnt seem to get the 100mm travel either .

    last ride was dry .

any idea what could be the cause ?

the send them to a fork specialist.. SRAM service centre (via your LBS), TF Tuned, Loco Tuning, J-Tech… there a number of them to choice from.
All have good reputations, it just the cost & their waiting list to choose from, in my book.

Borked forks are not ideal as your first journey into fork dissassembling, as you say, you won’t really know how stuff should look, and could not recognise a problem. Odds on its something TF of loco will fix as part of their standard service.
