Probably been this thread a thousand times but here we go again….

I’ve run 2.35″ single ply High Rollers on my trail bike for years now. It’s time to replace the rear but was thinking of perhaps trying something different.

I’m on a general mission to lighten/speed up this bike (a Prophet) so is there anything better/faster than a High Roller?

I tend to ride DH mostly (on my DH bike) but still ride the same on my trail bike, so pinch flats are a bit of a problem. I want something that looses grip in a predictable manner (not Nokian, which i used in the past and get leaving me on my arse). Also, I live in Bristol, so it’s still gotta work well in the mud!

    Let me know our thoughts?

Kenda Nev-but the bigger size does clog up. The 2.1 doesn’t clog as much but 2.1 maybe too small for DH!

    Maxxis minion?

Just wish they made a 2.1 front for trails/xc riding.

Still a very good tyre-see the reviews anyway.

    Kenda Nev 2.1.

As big as a 2.3 High Roller, but rolls really, really well

Crossmarks are fast-rolling and work OK in the Bristol slop. Not sure what the biggest size you can get them in is though.
