does anyone know of a area with a good amount of public road accessed offroad descents.

the top of fleet moss (road from buckden to hawes) is good, with 4 nice long ofroad downhills to tackle.
doctors gate springs to mind too.

any more nice area’s you can think of.

i need some dirt under my tyres……….. 8)

I think the main problem you will have ton is that you have to get up the bloody things first, or last, depending on how you do it.

You could try the descent from Wessenden that drops into Marsden, or from Wessenden that drops down to Diglea reservoir? You’re still faced with getting back to the top though.

Cutgate from the Flouch Inn side? it would be a walk up though.

Doctors gate…. I haven’t done it for years, but I’m told it’s not really worth it…

Mam Nick aboce Edale is pretty good, 3 descents(?) from there without going up any noticable hills.

And if you’re in that area, Pindale above Castleton fits the bill

right, i have a plan.
i have got 12 long descents, varying in length and difficulty.
i have coerced my son to drive me at a small cost.
the problem is that they a spaced between reeth and hebden bridge.

it is gonna be a long old day………… 😉

How about Ramsden Road down to Yateholme, better than Isle of Skye to Digley Dam and it’s not cheeky.
