    I'm after something not the run of the mill, no pub grub please, African or South-East Asian is prefered.

    Would be good if it were Halal to but not that important, good fish would be nice too. Price not to important either.

    Hansa's gujarati restaurant on North Street in Leeds is fantastic. Authentic vegetarian gujarati food and you can warm up with a Belgian beer in the Reliance along the road!

    Aagrah is fantastic in Garforth (just off A1 between Leeds and Harrogate).

    Second Hansas, lovely food and brilliant host. Reliance does great fish and chips, you have to look past the decor though!

    actually, any Aagrah will be good. But especially the Shipley one, as that's where they started. It's opposite Thai Fever on Saltaire Road.

    Jani's in Baildon is nice too. my local.

    Nice Thai restaurant in meanwood/headingley too, name escapes me, havn't been for a few years.
