    Hi folks,

    Your assistance please.

Want to take text off a word document and overlay it over my company logo image in PS. I know I can 'screen grab' the text off the MAC and do it that way but i I'm guessing that also picks up the white of the document background when ideally I need (i think) the text to be on a 'transparent' background so I can drop it in on a layer?

Suggestions, assistance and general mockery most welcome.

    Cheers

    Chris

Wouldn’t you be better off just copying the text from the word doc, and pasting it into Photoshop’s own text tool as another layer?

Set the text layer with the white to Multiply.

You can print the Word file to a pdf and then open the pdf into Photoshop. That will give you more control over resolution and anti-aliasing.

If the overlaid background appears white, then make the layer transparency "Multiply".

    Cheers all…….
    😳 😳 😳 – established that cmd-c and cmd-v does, indeed work,
font size on previous attempts to insert into the text layer were somewhat hampered by the point size being set at 165, for reasons that shall forever remain unknown…..
