Don't fancy paying several thousand Euro's to be airlifted off of a mountain if I have an accident, can anybody recommend insurance?

Was out in france a couple of years ago and got post office travel insurance with extra cover for sports, had a mate who crashed whilst riding back from the pub, with his helmet on his bars of course, and ended up in hospital, he had to get scans of his head and was in hospital for a couple of days. The post office refunded the costs once he got home and had put a claim in, they even covered the oakleys he was wearing that got smashed up. I too had to claim for a snapped frame when i was away but only got a payout of £250 which covered the costs of the repairs and parts which was good, think £250 was the maximum claim though. Found it a good service and quite cheap. Dont think it will cover racing or anything though so if your doing that you mat need to look into somthing more specialist, think British Cycling also offer cover if your abroad in their memberships, maybe worth a look into.
