I have been given my uncles old 35mm slr cameras and various tele lenses. He was a proffesional photographer so the stuff is all quality .. he was just too old to want to make the switch over to digital.

Can anybody tell me if the tele lenses would be compatable with dslr cameras. I fancy getting a new dslr, and was wondering if I could use the lenses I now have?

    Much thanks in advance.

M42 based lenses can be mounted on canons with a simple adapter plate, Im using a couple myself, they often have really nice results. Find out what makes/lenses and people can be more help.

Manual Focus Forum for digital users.

Unfortunately people have caught on to this and now the old MF lenses with M42 fitment are very pricey again, but obviously the good ones are still very good lenses but with no or limited AF ability.

Minolta dynax af lenses will fit Sony alpha dslrs, mine do anyway. That is about the full extent of my knowledge.
