What I liked is that the in-car shots when going over the bridges ( also in the part 2 video ) was apparently a case of strapping a board across the 2 open windows of the car ( in front of the driver ) and bolting a camera to the board and booting it over the bridges full pelt without any prior permissions … nuts.

I think you have to look at it in the context of when it came out, not in

Taxi. The entire movie is basically a car chase.

The subway chase in T2 used to be my go-to “showing off my amp and speakers” scene.
