I don't have a cold etc. Just leaden legs, no energy on the bike. Off the bike I'm lively. What gives? Its exactly like both brakes are rubbing bad.

Steve, I'm 16stone- a stone over ideal. Stupidly I worked hard at the gym for 2 weeks and built my top half too much.
Posted 5 months ago # -

I'm 16stone- a stone over ideal.
Unless you're 6'6" I'd suggest your more than a stone over...
Posted 5 months ago # -
you clearly need a new bike

As a fellow chunkster I find that when the ground is soft or it's windy it gets disproportionately more difficult for me. Like wise, lots of variations in gradient, particularly if they are steep, seem to get me going backwards. But every dog has his day and on the right routes it really gets up the skinny boys' noses when 17st of beer monster hands them their arse on a plate. Try different tyres or a different routine for a while.

Cruz, you must look funny.

LOL @ Realman and the OP.
it must have been only 6 weeks since the new, new turner was the bestest, bestest, over and above the old turner?
genius.Posted 5 months ago # -
Cruz if I dropped 1stone I'd be at my ideal weight for my build. I was 12.5stone when I was 16 and I looked like I'd been released from Belsen. I rode a roadbike fast however that's not what I personally want from life.
Del the Specialized Enduro is a far better frame. Sadly it doesn't have boutique or carpark bling cache. It doesn't require faff setting up and I don't care if its dirty. Perfect as I never wash or clean my frames.
This isn't a thread about a new frame. If I was going to get one itd be a c456 not a gearqueer frame.

I don't go by BMI. I'm quite sturdy. I'd look terrible as a 'bird

Posted 5 months ago # -
I'm more interested in your upper body program...
Posted 5 months ago # -
Cruz I hear you but that's cycling weight ideal. I'm quite top heavy/broad. Its a compromise.
Saying that I'm dropping a stone (12lb) within a month.
Posted 5 months ago # -
stone is 14lb hora

Do you warm up properly? Do a decent hill climb or something to get your heart rate up, I find I feel pretty lethargic unless I do this.
Posted 5 months ago # -
How are you sleeping?
Posted 5 months ago # -
Interesting. I find that it can take me 30mins to get my heart going. Sometimes it never happens (breathless) other times I have steady breath throughout.
Heart attack!
