I’m travelling from Nice airport to Finale Ligure next week and am staggered at the transfer prices. Being quoted 100 euros each way per person! Has anyone managed to do it cheaper?

So I thought I’d get around it by hiring a car but the resort rep tells me the reason for the high prices is that the toll charges are 85 euros each way! Does anyone know if this is true? If is that will really screw the budget over!

via michelin says €15.30 each way on tolls. thought id check as ive got the same journey to do this summer.

Try calling ady or Jo @ riviera bike and see if they are picking anyone up at nice airport that day, if so, they may do it for you for a decent price.

Two tolls, three or four euro a time, as far as I can remember, so about 16 quid

Three of us did that journey by train last year as the transfer costs were ridiculous.
It was pretty straight forward and dead cheap, a bit of lugging bike bags was the only down side
