You bringing it to the Alps next year Al?
Good job BTW.

Good job BTW.
My eyes, my beautiful eyes....sullied forever....
Just as long as your brain is unaffected eh? Do you have one?
Thanks Bear. Alps on hold till i get a job...
Will have a dig about in the spares draw, think I only have parts for vanillas that short
I think it should be called the BBW. Niche, bouncy, and a type of fun only a few brave men choose to sample.
It makes me smile, the fact that it's yellow just ices the chubby cake.
Excellent
Getting the shock tune right is important- I dare you to email Marin and ask for their advice
Like that very much.
Absolutely loving this.
Having only recently experienced what 29er wheels and suspension feels like (Excellent BTW) I would imaging that this steam rolls everything in its way!
The re engineered rear looks good too!
Thanks guys.
I gave it it's maiden ride today. Just up to the last descent at GT and down (staying with a pal at Kirkton Manor). The shock is so fubar'd it rode comicaly.
More importantly things started playing up...turns out I'd removed a bit much from the RT...the inserts ovalised!
Is there a LOLcat for "back to the drawing board"?
What a fantastic bike! I want one.
Can you get a solid piece in there?
Ideal for a bit of broom handle I'd have thought
loser
I know tunki, that AHD is a right looser
Bear - I think if I'd cut less metal off it'd be OK. Maybe. I'll see what my technical consultant has to say:
Al this is V nice. Well done. Have you fixed it yet?
Stupendously ugly, utterly pointless, and I guarantee it rides like a sack of shit.
You are never allowed an opinion on anything bike related again.
cool as ****
love it.
^ What he said.
Kool and the gang
Still borked...framebuilder mate has too much on plate...
...but I have found an old 1" fork I'll cut up and use to reinforce the extension-y bits and see how that goes. Hopefully next week.
a 1" fork, earlier;
I like the look of that too.
Did you manage to get another shock for The Thing?
Aye I have a float ready to go on it once fixed.
If I can get the rear-end re-done I should get a double up front also.
Ah - I was going to say - those seat/chain stays look a little fragile/flexy - looks like MKII will have to have something beefier! - What's it ride like??
with that shock...think "pogo stick"
Will update...
