Got up Saturday morning to load up for our DH training day only to find that the front tyre was flat, normally it would take me ages to get the tyre off on back on. I bought one of these after our Alps trip but had yet to use it

30 seconds to get the tyre off and 30 seconds to get it back on, I usually end up pinching the new tube when refitting and having to do it all over again

Tyres are Specialized Chunder pro 2.3 tyres on DT 5.1 rims

Its a great piece of kit but to long to take on the trail, thinking I can cut it in two with some kind of sleeve and bolt to put it back together
Any other ideas before I do it

Looked at those but reviews say they they break with big tyres on deep rims, would need something more robust

This is how it works, just need to get it small enough for my rugsack
Stuck an allen key through my 20mm hub to get it to work
