andrewh - Foxbats are quite cool in a brutal sort of way, but that two-seater looks like the nose broke off just ahead of the cockpit and they stuck the nose from a smaller plane on instead!

Klunk, have you seen this:

Jay Leno has one in a Rolls Royce too but I prefer the SD1.

Andrew, http://rusadventures.com/tour6.shtml best save some pennies, if similar flight experiences are anything to go by!

I got given one of these in a box of bits and an old friend helped me fix it up for the local woods to play on. It was a heavy old thing and used to just "bump, bump, thud" along. I was a bit weak to hold it being a skinny lad so sold it on, shame really cos' I wish I had it now.

A thing of great simplicity and beauty.

Do I get cake?
I hate to say it, most of the stuff I posted came from my Dad's blog. It makes me sad having a Dad who is more stylish than me.

@cletus. There are far more impressive air rifles: Venom Mach x series for example. What's so good about the HW25?
Posted 8 months ago # -
Derek,
It is a Feinwerkbau Sport 124 not a HW25.
In the early 80's it was probably the best all rounder on the market.
I was lucky enough to be bought one and it was a big cut above the BSA's and Webley's that many of my friends have.
Still have it after all that time and am still impressed with it's quality every time I handle it.

What's so impressive about Ocean Majesty?

We went on a little trip with my OutLaws on saturday and crossed one of the Swiss lakes.
I'm so used to those crappy fake Steam Boats on the Thames that I assumed the same of this one, with its big flailing paddles and massive speed.
Then I boarded it and was presented with an open engine room that was cleaner and better presented than any museum piece I have ever seen. Bear in mind that this thing was built in 1913 and is used every day as local transport.
These Swiss eh?

I used to work in the photographic trade years back & remember using one of these (Leica M3) for the first time, it was the first camera I had ever used that felt like a mechanical tool in your hand, totally solid, every setting felt so precise, sadly as a, wet behind the ears darkroom assistant, it took me another 15 years before I could buy a used one for myself

(sorry if this or something similar has been mentioned in this post already not read it all yet, but will do when I get time)
