Unfortunately while I broadly agree (and it's essentially very similar to my b+ set up), you can't see the ugly brace across the fork under the crown which looks really crap 🙁
EDIT - though now I've said that, most pics don't seem to have that brace but this one definitely did

To be fair it may be a pre production one as every other pic doesn't have the brace.

Considering how other brands have tweaked designs to get the rear wheel really tucked in, the back end of that Marin looks long.

It looks awful, along with the massive plate on the top tube/head tube joint.
Can feel some fund raising coming on.
71 deg head angle is that a bit too retro?

Yeah shame about the brace. I would have thought a steel fork like that would be plenty stiff enough. Still, could paint it matt black or something.
I had a Pine Mountain BITD, loved it. Changed it for a Team Titanium then Klein Attitude..
Many memories of the grey frame/orange forks.. Still love that colour scheme, they were at the forefront of that design back then, still looks great today.. Probably why I like the look of the new version..
I had a 92 Pine Mountain in orange/grey as my first mtb so that's why I'm taken by it - it's good value too by the looks of it.
I think that's what it is - a good honest bike
