So not worth taking bikes up at the moment, but the guys at OnePlanet have got the car park and access road clear and fired up the BBQ. I can recommend the salt'n'pepper chicken.

Someone had very thoughtfully cut tracks up the blue climb for us. I should really get a pair of cross country skis for this sort of thing, though...

The blue climb, just past the pond

Same again

A few big drifts through the trees, and there were also a few patches scoured bare by the wind

Lovely smooth tracks most of the way up

I think it'll be a while until the grouse see daylight again

I tried riding up the road up from the ford up to the boardwalk. No chance! At the old farm the snow has been ploughed into a 5ft wall, and after all the walkers footprints melting / freezing a few times its like rutted icy concrete and I couldn't even ride 2ft in one go on it.

Turned around and did the old horseshoe pass, which was a laugh.

Really nice making the most of it. Spangly outfit too.
