Anyone found one that will work with the latest XTR cranks? Want to run granny, middle and bash and need a 36 tooth bash guard to fit.

A German company makes one, I forget the name of them them though. They've been mentioned on here a couple of times. the ring looks really good, looks like shimano could have made it, but its really expensive iirc

Edit, here http://www.tf-bikes.at/index-shop___angebote-custom_parts

Bloody hell, that's robbery with violence that price!

= http://www.homebrewedcomponents.com/store.php/products/shimano-m985-lightweight-bash-ring this one looks good but they don't send to the UK.

I think blackspire make one but also hard to source.

Also have seen a few with Straitline bash guards but they are not XTR specific (the odd shaped spiders) but seem to fit?

The Blackspire one is 42t only which is too big for what I want.

Even if homebrewed did ship here, chances are you could have made one yourself using wind erosion, such was the lead time!

Too expensive? You're an XTR man, cost shouldn't be a problem!

Not sure if I'm answering the OP question exactly but I've got one of these on my XTR 960 c/set and it works well:

M980 is an odd pattern; not sure if its same as M985?

not quite! Just the crank which I saved up for and bought in the sale!

Anyway I just tried my E13 Turbocharger and it fit's perfectly....problem solved.
