Have a look at hoseasons, I think its a bit similar but cheaper. Doesn’t usually look like as much to do on the campus, but they’re usually near something fun.

I have been to Parkdean in Mullion , Cornwall a couple of years ago. It was ok. Some areas of neglect eg..pool dirty and shoddy, kids play area dirty/abused. I would go to another Parkdean probably i guess, quieter than a Haven site but less to do and all on a smaller scale. However we mainly use places like this as a base to go out and explore the local area.

checkout Parkdean, I’ve used their Ruda park a lot and rate it and the location very highly.

(*I use it off season – so have not seen full facilities, as they’re shut offseason, however very good deals, always found staff very good, e.g last time we couldn’t work out oven controls , so we popped into reception on way back to flat to ask, by the time got back to the flat (200 yds) the service bloke was waiting for us)

    *Booking tips
    – take off ins **unless you think it will help you
    – pay full amount in advance for extra saving (*if that suits)
    — watch out for deals and offers on website

*sale ends in 4 days – possibly true…..

Get to Haggerston Castle, you know you want to.

Not quite the same thing, but loads of people I know have had good times camping and caravanning at http://www.woodlands-caravanpark.com/, nice park linked to a small theme park.

    Bluestone in Pembrokeshire?

EDIT: Might not be cheaper, but checkout which weeks you can go – the pricing varies a lot week by week.

we went here http://www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk/scotland-holidays/tummel-valley/tummel-valley-holiday-park.htm a couple years back. Think of it like a centre parc but smaller with lots less to do in the centre. But Pitlochry and surrounding area has lots and lots to offer. The bar was small and quite, the pool was small and quiet, the play area was small and quiet, the er road was small and quiet…get the idea?

Might be worth waiting for one of the national newspaper holliday deals, Parkdean as well as others tend to be in them.
