Current wheels: XT hubs, DT 4.2 rims

Whats out there that isn’t silly expensive, but would shed some weight?

Thinking DT4.2 rims again as despite denting them within a week they’ve been fine ever since (admitedly I’ve not looked at them too closely in the Jig, but they’ve been fine over dirt jumps, XC and trail riding without collapsing completely).

Spokes, upgrade from PG to DB.

Hubs? The big boys seem to be silly prices, does anyone make a ‘budget’ set of hubs worth looking at. And no, I’m not considering superstar, I’d rather pay the extra buy hope ones and insert them sharp ends first up my arsehole before riding arround a really bumpy track on my current wheels.

Should have said, I’m thinking allong the lines of the cassette type hubs as opposed to the screw on type as WI freewheels at ~£60 each stop them being budget!
