Why would you use a pub to save your money instead of a bank?

Wasn’t there a thread a while back about a bike shop Christmas savings controversy thing? I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just put the money in the bank or at worst under your bed or something

This was my local when I was too young to drink! Never understood thrift myself. I think it’s an excuse to spend it getting hammered in the pub over the christmas period.

I think if you’re a feckless arse who props up a bar, ‘saving’ your money in a the pub helps hide how much you’re pissing up the wall from your wife and children 🙂
