Need some forks for a ht/commuting bike, would like to get some carbon rigids but need something a little cheaper at the moment. Are kona p2s any good?

Does anyone have any the want rid of?

Yeh, they’re fine. I had them on my jake the snake before i got carbon forks. A bit harsher than carbons obvioulsy but fine forks.

Check at shop as some dodgy batch had mis-angled droputs.

Goes on road or xc nice.

Only takes 180mm disc max for nfo.

    Light too.

Kona warranty in UK is poo though.

The triple butted ones are really good forks, if you can gt some! I actually prefer the triple butted ones to carbon ones I have run.

I’ve got a set of plain ones (“DJ” version from Kona Unit) with disc and v mounts – would love to swap them for butted version if anyone’s interested. I’d need disc mount and 1 1/8″ steerer. Email in profile!

I had a pair of the last double butted disc/canti ones (420mm). Not that light. A pair of pipedream ones are noticeably lighter.
Some of the longer travel P2s have the ugly extended crown as well. Not had the triple butted so can’t comment on them. Tbh though, ridewise I think it’s pretty hard to tell the difference between half-decent steel forks. Disc P2s are becoming like hen’s teeth – Orange do the F8s(?) they might be worth a look too.
