Anyone know what on the black is closed? Or is it all closed?
I assume closed for the enduro today? So could well be back to normal tomorrow.
I was there last monday - signs up said black closed (entire loop) due to tree felling and they were hoping to open it by late July. Red seemed fully open.

I was there on Thursday. It's the last 1/4 of the black that's actually closed of for logging the rest is still all open. There is diversion signs to take you back to the red.
We were there this weekend and knew of the black closure, but decided to go discretely exploring with the view of turning back as soon as anything was encountered (love Kirri but it is a very long drive for just 1 hour red route).
There was much evidence of enlargement of the forest roads around start / end of the black, but on Saturday there was absolutely nothing going on. None of the trails were touched, and the only place the operations came close were the end of the black around hissing sid and the previous section.
I'm sure the forest ops are very very busy in the week (quite right to steer clear), but it looked entirely feasible to have put in a diversion or even opened fully at weekends. A blanket closure of 14km in the main season (just after they open the new facilities to get more visitors) seems slightly overkill. And not a clue why the Heartbreak Hill side was closed.
Seem to remember the original announcement at end of May was "Black closed for a few weeks" - seems a long way wide of the plus 8 week closure they have on the signs once you are out in the forest.
There is the diversion of the last quarter mentioned above - but you only come to it by ignoring all the closed signs on the previous 3/4 .....
