  • Is this normal on my Lyrik forks?

Just got a second hand pair of 2011 Lyrik Rs, the OEM solo air version found on spesh bikes. I’ve not given them an oil service yet though that’s next on the list. They feel quite plush with no play in the bushings or anything, but in the very top 5-10mm of travell they feel a bit ‘looser’. As in, it takes very little force to compress them the first 5mm then it feels like they’re starting to work the spring, and when they return back up they don’t make it quite all the way and you can pull them up the last 5mm.

Only thing I could compare it to might be a coil fork with preload spacers missing, it’s a similar sort of feeling. Before I take them apart, are there any spacers or owt that I should be checking are present/not damaged?

Problem is the same regardless of air pressure in the fork btw.

Cheers everyone! Hope someone has an idea cos this is way above my head being the first air fork I’m going to take apart 🙁
