  • iPad Printing?

I have a couple of legacy printers on a print server connected to my wifi home network. I now want to print from my iPad. All the legacy kit is pre the i revolution so air bollx won’t work.

Ok, so how do I print a web page from Safari for example?

In my experience the answer to your question is –

    You don’t / can’t

Do you have a mac on the network ? If so you can download AirPrint activator. This will let you print from the iPad/iPhone

There are several apps that let you connect to a network printer.

. That’s back to the o,d days using a PC as a print server. Really want something on th iPad that can work with the existing print server.

What printers are they? Epson have their own dedicated app to print from.

One HP laser and a Canon bubble jet thingy. Neither wifi.

Picsel Smart Office 2 can print to most printers without requiring AirPrint or anything fancy.

(Doesn’t help you for printing from Safari though obviously)

    What existing print server?

Not immediately seeing a way of doing it directly without additional hardware, TBH. I’m no iPad expert though.

It’s an ancient Lynksys Etherfast 10/100.
