It isn’t something you hear about too often when reading about good technique but is good balance key to good cornering? It sounds a bit ridiculous, but I found that when I focused on “trusting” my right leg a bit more, improving my balance on that foot (er, by hopping a bit when no one was looking, and even simply by clipping out of my right foot at traffic lights, instead of my usual left), I think my flow’s improved a bit on right handers, can even jump with the “wrong” foot forward a bit…
But you don’t really hear balance being described as a core skill to mtbing in the way that it is for say, rowing? (not just for low speed stuff, where obviously it’s important, but faster stuff too)
