Can a QR adapter from an old style Hope Pro2 front hub be used on the new Hope Pro2 Evo front hubs? I know that the axle is 2mm wider so I’m not holding out much…er…’hope’ here (sorry!)

I seem to remember that the front hub is the same, it was only the rear axle that was beefed up due to a risk of breakages. Basically, Hope didn’t see 12mm rear coming and had to redesign the rear axle and swap the bearings for ones with bigger ‘holes’. 20mm front is a relatively old standard. The normal and Evo front 20mm adapters are both held on with circlips and the 9mm fits inside the 20mm axle so no need to change design.
    Yes, I say!

    Front is unchanged.
Pretty sure that I’ve swapped QR and 15mm adaptors between old and new.

+1 what ecky says. Front unchanged apart from stainless steel bearings – so adaptors will fit.

Yes, I’ve swapped QR and 20mm adaptors between Pro II and Pro II Evo front hubs and I’m still here 🙂

Excellent! ‘Wrong’ hub ordered and winging it’s way to me as we speak! 🙂
