Been quoted £715 for a full exhaust system including catalytic converter for an 05 Honda Jazz. Google brings up much cheapness but I’d like to know if this is a real world figure. Please help.

Sounds pricey, you could get a custom stainless system with a cat for that?

Was it a main dealer by any chance who quoted that?

The back box snapped off at the middle section. Much corrosion meant that the remaining middle section couldn’t be separated from the front section (where the cat is) hence the whole system needing replacing.

It’s an 05 Jazz with the original exhaust system so no complaints there. I’m just curious about the cost. Thanks for your help so far.

Euro car parts? Full system for my Volvo including cat was ~£500, cat only was £800 from main dealer but no longer available

We had to replace ours a few years back and it was nowhere near that.

Sounds like a fair price to keep the car on the road. Is this at a exhaust ‘specialist’ or the main dealer? I’d try a local garage and see what they can do.

Well I’d keep the original cat. Despite meeting all the regs, replacements never seem as good as OE ones.
Any decent garage will be able to join/weld in a new system from the cat backwards.

I’d call in to a good exhaust place.

My Accord was a one piece system after the cat, the longest exhaust I’ve seen.
