I’ve had some electrical work done at home and for reasons that I won’t bore you with, getting the electrician to sign-off the work may prove difficult.

Assuming that to be the case, what will be the rough cost of getting someone in to inspect and sign-off the work (4 bed detached)?

I do need to get the electrical work signed-off (with an accompanying certificate) should I come to sell the property, right?

I charge about £170 for an electrical inspection of a property, depending on size/complexity.

I cannot issue a certificate for other people’s work, nor notify it, but I produce an Electrical Inspection Condition Report which some building authorities will take in lieu of a certificate.

    Rich.
