Nah, not ‘ghey’ (whatever that is) or ‘Northern’; I don’t get mates owt either. Can’t be arsed. And I’m a super-rich Southerner. 😀

Might buy someone a pint, or a pack of cigs or something I spose. The odd lady or two might get a little something, but as a general rule, I don’t buy every friend of mine birthday or Xmas gifts at all. Sod that. Too spensive over a year.

I believe spontaneous gifts are they way forward; out somewhere, see something you know X will like, get it for ’em, if it’s not too dear. Much more of a pleasant surprise, and not contrived.

Blimey – only on STW can someone ask for advice on what present to buy, only to be criticised for buying presents 😯
