Yep - 26 today!
Plans are as follows:
11.30pm - 12.00pm - Sort out changing doctors (subsequent to a recent move in house) for me, the missus, and our little 'un.
12.00pm - 2.00pm - Feed the Romster and then entertain him for an hour. (crayons - paper at the ready)
2.00pm - 3.00pm - Get wrapped up and visit the Romster's grandads allotment to get mucky and find some worms.
3.00pm - 4.00pm - Get back home from the allotment, get cleaned up, milk in a bottle for the Romster and a hot drink for his daddy - Romster has a nap, Daddy tends to his emails.
4.00pm - 5.30pm - Fiance arrives home with hopefully a big fat birthday cake and candles.....people sing happy birthday, drink tea, and eat my cake.
5.30pm - 6.30pm - Feed the Romster his tea, 15 minute break then straight in the bath he goes ducks an' all!
6.30pm - 7-30pm - Wind down with the family, read Romster a couple of his Makkah Pakkah books, finish up with a bottle of the good stuff (milk), and take my boy to bed.
7.30pm - 10.00pm - Finally, i get to enjoy my birthday........what do i do???????
Guinness? Take-Away? Both? Watch a movie?
Or do i just retreat to the settee, let the missus watch her soaps while nestled into her study course books while I sit and do nothing but reflect on how the older you get, the less time you have to stop, take a breath, and enjoy whats happening RIGHT NOW! As Mother Theresa once said, "Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin." I feel like i'm living this moto for my son, but us parents don't half have an hard job at times.
Anyway gotta rush - i'm already late for sorting the doctors bit out!
