    Front brake on the hardtail not sortable by Sunday, so do I go with back brake only , or for fun take a chance and use the CX bike ?

    Did this event 2 years ago in the rain but can't remember much about the track.

    What do you think is the better choice ? Am I being ****t even thinking about a CX machine ?

    Or just buy a new front brake tomorrow?

    I'm sure a cable disc and v-lever won't cost much more than £30 in halfords these days.
