Looking to go tubeless, using my existing 26″ rims and the BMX tube technique…. It’s all new to me and not sure if I need to run full tubeless tyres or can you use others like the 2Bliss system from Specialized..? Looking for XC tyres 2.1/2.2 high volume race/general for my lightweight hardtail. Thx.

anythign flagged as tubeless ready will be fine as you’ll be using sealant.

Non UST tyres (tubless ready)will work but are harder to inflate unless you use CO2 cartridges. However, this can cause sealants like Stan’s to go hard and form a rubber ball. I now use a Topeak Joe Blow Mountain high volume track pump instead.

I currently have Non UST Schwalbe EVO RR, NN, RRons, Specialized ‘The Captain’, Stan’s Raven and Crows on ZTR, DT Swiss and UST Shimano rims – no problems, but not using BMX tube solution.
