  • Gloucester to Chorley – where to stop and ride?

    I’ve got an afternoon/evening to get from Gloucester to Chorley, a car and a bike. Where would you ride that’s not too far off route (M5/M6) and offers a few hours of fun for a mainly XC rider? Gut instinct is to head to the Rivington area (not been up that way for 15 years or so) – but am I missing a better option?

    Cannock would be a good halfway-ish stop off?
