Whats the score with flying with a bike in the hold if its got air shock and forks ? Previously I've let most of the air out of each in the fear that the air pressure might blow the seals out of either during flight. I think I've even let my tyres down in the past.

The holds are pressurised so you don't need to deflated either.

    Is this a game?

It's a minimal pressure difference at 33,000ft anyway, just a few PSI.

Does the pilot let his tyres down? I think not…….. 😉

Cabin and hold pressurised to between 5000ft and 8000ft.

even if you were flying in space, 15 psi wouldn't be enough to cause a problem!

air pressure is 15psi (thereabouts) at sea level.

if you took your bike into space, it would only have the same effect on the seals as adding 15 psi with a pump.

dammit! simon is too quick – i doff my cap, etc.

Cool – I'll leave all well alone then. Thanks chaps 🙂
