    Barrowlands set was very good viewing on bbc4, I had a ticket for it thanks to a mate who was dj’ing at the festival but the weather on Sunday was far too good to waste on a 100 mile journey up to Glasgow so I spent it up in the Galloway hills with the bike n’ dog instead

    Depeche mode went downhill when Dave quit heroin, martin sobered up and Alan Wilder left. Their last great music was songs of faith and devotion in 93.
