Riding round Dalby red at the weekend I noticed a new(ish) black trail goung off the red at Crosscliff wood. I only went down it so far as it looked like it was going to be a bugger to climb back up and I knew that I was doing a 30+ mile ride without any extras.

Anyone any idea where this goes or how much it adds on? The trail maps I can find on the internet don’t have it marked.

At the top on the fire road T junction? Red goes right, black is off to left a bit?

Its a good bit of trail. Pretty steep and technical as its pretty overgrown in places and one corner had a tree down the last time I rode it so the bypass was a near vertical chute straight down. Last bit onto the road is pretty steep too – I wasn’t going near it in the wet (off camber rock slabs onto a tarmac road!). Climb out isn’t too bad. Its worth doing…

That’s the one cheers. The tree is still there but it I liked the alternative route 🙂
