In china for a while just now, and feel the need to get some souvenirs…

The stalls down the beach just sell seashells, so i was thinking maybe some bike bits.

How about a 11-42 deore cassette for £19

I dont especially need anything, although drivetrain bits could be worthwhile.

Inspire me, what should i spend my money on?

Bloke I work with came back with a Terracotta Army replica figure made of clay and fired like the originals.

It’s about 8ft tall and weighs about 500lb.

I got a cheap silver chain that I wore for constantly for the next 20 years. Always remembered China when I noticed it. And a pair of folding scissors.

Cant go wrong with an opium pipe though most tourists seem to opt for those conical hats made of reeds.

Be careful. A lot of the souvenirs are just cheap tat knocked out in factories in the UK by workers on meagre wages….maybe.

Chairman Mao waving watch or an itchy (or worse) reminder of a night in a “karaoke” bar especially if you’re in Ningbo…..

Waving cats are only for businesses. They are bad luck for domestic use.
