  • (cheap) seat tube mounted chain guide for commuter?

I’m going to run the commuter as a single ring setup and was wondering if there are any guides that will mount to the seattube and act like, essentially, a front mech cage (yet look better than a front mech…).

What do the CX guys run to stop the chain jumping on their 1×9/10 setups?

I know Pauls and Rohloff have some but I was thinking cheaper…. maybe even a DIY route based on a DMR clamp (or something)

    The Superstar one works well.

MRP 1x, E13 XCX or a Superstar components XCR. All mount via the BB though (which is probably better than via the seat tube anyway IMO).

Just fitted a Superstar XCR to my hardtail, not given it a full run yet but easiest chain device I’ve ever setup bar none, and it seems to do the job too (very cheaply, silently and weighing naff all too!).
