I have a 2008 Carbon Scott Spark 10 which is very creaky...
Admittedly I'm a bit of a clydesdale and the frame is second hand so I can't vouch for the servicing but I must've only ridden it 10 times and it doesn't half creak and groan.
Is it the frame components groaning? Am I going to break it? Or is it suspension bushings in need of lube? Everything seems nice and tight...
Full suspensionalists, please advise
Have you checked the carbon for cracks that could cause a catastrophic failure?
Nope, I'll do that...
My mate's Spark got nicked. it is probably Mourning.
Oh and his BB failed just before that
Just spent 2 hours getting rid of a creak on my Mount Vision that's been getting a bit loud. Fettling all the joints made no difference, then had the BB apart for a clean and we're back to silent running.
Definitely not BB...
๐ @ Dancake.. I think it's more worried about carrying my weight around than losing a fellow spark...
Silicon spray every pivot joint you can find, and the BB, well... everything.... it'll probably sort it.
Any more ideas....?
Clean and carbon paste all the carbon/carbon joints
Check it's not coming from the saddle clamp area. I've had an annoying creak that I thought was BB and turned out to be from the saddle clamp.
Check in this order: Rear qr and dropouts-apply grease to both, check chain ring bolts are tight, saddle rails lightly greased, check rear mech hanger bolts are tight. Only after checking all of these would i start looking at pivot bearings etc
I did all that on my Zesty and it was the bearings. Not too difficult to whip out the bearing shafts and check everything is assembled correctly with threadlock/stud lock and grease as appropriate.
Saddles and seatposts can sound incredibly frame like with their creaking...
I've had creaks from all the following over the years
Seat-post and clamp
QR's
Mech hanger
Stem clamp
Cables into stops
Pedal threads
Chainring bolts
Bottom bracket
Spokes (tension)
If it persists after all that then it's time to strip and clean/replace frame pivot bearings
Thanks folks, I'll check everything above and then look at the frame...

What is carbon paste?
How did you sort the seat post clamp. Just tighten it.
Carbon prep can loosely be described as a grease, but unlike normal grease, does not get absorbed into the carbon (which causes it to swell and if it's a seat post, get stuck in the frame). Carbon prep also contains small gritty bits which help hold the seat post in position without the need to clamp down on a QR or bolt so hard.
FSA carbon prep also looks strangely edible although I have never tried it.
