    Outside of Masterchef and the like tv programmes has anyone actually eaten it ? Just sounds wrong to me .

    I’ve never seen Masterchef but I am quite partial to baby gem lettuce done on a griddle pan.

    Doesn’t have quite the same ring as caramelised onion.

    It would just be a burnt leaf? Is it served with locally sourced artisan water?

    I had a charred smoked salad and it was absolutely gorgeous.
