I have the chance to bulk purchase ceramic bearings to suit Hope XC and Pro 2 Hubs and I am gauging the interest

Cheap ceramic bearing are worse than hype - they're much, much rougher than any steel bearing of the same price.
Better off with a decent steel bearing than a crap ceramic one.

Tell us the bearing sizes, they might suit other stuff as well.

I'm workirking on the price now, they will be a branded manufacture ie skf rhp or fag, and not chinese.
I was looking at hope to start with as people with the old xc hubs will be replacing them soon after a harsh winter. Pro 2 are still reasonably new and shouldn't be a problem.
I am looking at 4 kits hope xc front. Hope xc rear. Hope pro 2 front and hope pro 2 rear. And mat be the retro guys to suit the old ti glide rear and various fronts.

Hello Spencer, very interesting! Can you tell me if they are Full ceramic and which type of ceramic? For example are they alumina (white material) Zirconia also (white in colour) or Black silicon nitride of which there are 3 main types.
Reaction bonded or crap and hot pressed then sintered, both of which are very strong and make great bearings and ballistic body armour, like that matters! The hope BB ceramic bearings are made by INA so they’re as good as it gets in terms of tolerances and materials.
In theory the ceramic bearings would be perfect for MTB applications, however there are several factors that affect their application in the MTB industry. In particular the banker factor!!! black silicon nitride is as cheap to produce as steel and yet they cost a fortune?
Can I have some more info I like bearings been studying them for 2 years so I know a good bit!

Except they're particularly suited to high speed and high loads, neither of which are ever achieved on bikes...
Full ceramics are also generally so fragile that they don't really last in hubs and things, I assume we're talking hybrids here.
