    In my road bike my Ritchey Carbon seatpost may be on verge of failing (creaking sounds, poss seat clamp) in carbon frame, so just wondering is it better/essential to have carbon post with carbon frame, or something else?

    Are you using proper Carbon assembly compound? If not get some. Should cure your creaking.
