  • Can I use Planet X 130mm road QR skewers on a steel 135mm MTB frame?
  • These ones, http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/WSPXTISTQR/planet-x-ti-stick-quick-release-with-carbon-levers

I’m guessing that they will be designed to work with 8mm thick aluminium dropouts.
I’m also guessing that the steel dropouts on a Singular Rooster will be 5mm.
So, the overall dimension of a steel MTB frame is actually 1mm less than an aluminium road frame.
Can anyone say for definite that it works?

SO I can’t say for definate. But they are not the best at staying tight, and while that’s not a problem on rim brakes on road bike, might worry about power of big discs going through them. They are light yes…
Ask Just Riding Along about theirs – they look lovely and also Ti/Unobtainium
