Not sure if there is any concerted effort to oust the execrable X-Factor entry a la RATM last year, but how about this?

I’m liking the Cage Against The Machine effort personally. It’ll be interesting to see what the remixes are like. 😀

I don’t have a problem with the x factor winner this year. I think he’s a genuinley talented bloke that loves music and he’s been lucky enough to get a break where lots of talented people don’t usually get one.

I think the lady that came second was a real talent too. Good luck to them both.

Nimone was talking to someone on 6Music this afternoon about the whole XFactor thing, and since the bloke won with his Biffy Cliro cover, it’s placing in the iTunes chart has gone from 160 to 30. It’s not inconceivable that it could beat the cover version to first place. I’ve got the album so I’ll be getting the John Cage piece.

    I think it’s slightly retarded.

They made their point last year, big deal. So a load of sheep can get some random song to no1 ahead of a load of sheep buying into the commercialism of the X-Factor.

That bloody ‘bird is the word’ song about sums up the British public. Scott Mills says buy it, so the hysteria begins (God help us if Moyles gets on the case too). Greg James was saying earlier that texts requesting it were flooding in – from who? Aren’t children at school during the day?

Still, to be expected I suppose – I’d imagine the people wanting to listen to this song over and over are the same ones that laugh raucously at adverts at the cinema.

Last year i did the whole RATM thing but this year i hope matt wins after listening to his pre xfactor stuff. Check out seven summers on Spotify. He has a great voice although he was getting a bit squeaky live on xfactor.

I reckon they were overworking his voice – especially at the high end. Combine that with whatever bug he picked up. This is all coming from someone with bugger all knowledge of the larynx 😀

DD – you should meet her family. They’ve been “famous” round these parts longer than their progeny 🙂

Oh don’t worry Stoner, I “clocked” the Malvern connection ages ago. Didn’t I see you in one of the picture frames on the mantelpiece when they did the visit with Cheryl? I can only marvel at how well you’ve dragged yourself out of that situation. 😉

I don’t know or care what’s no 1 the other 51 weeks of the year. Why should this one be any different?

Whatever wins, simon cowell will make a truck load of money….

No, it’s a small wild cat or something that lures girls into bed.

    correct in every respect.

Besides, there’s at least five different campaigns to get blahblahblah into number 1 that they’re all trying to nick the same customer base
