    Broke my fibula other week,its not displaced so no pot on.

    one doc says rest other said keep it moving so dunt go stiff!
    dont wanna lay off the bike,be ok to to ride if i take it steady?

    yep been says not to ride incase i bang it

    but if i ride steady,wondering if it wont do no harm.
    must be other people on ere who broken the same bone.?

    Ride your full suss MTB on the road and put a football shin pad on the side of your leg??

    If it hurts when riding smooth surface, don’t. If sore the day after, rest and gently do more.

    Only when I was a kid. Did the tibia too. I was in a cast.

    Surprised they’ve not put a cast on it, even if it’s not displaced.

    I’d try a stationary bike/turbo first I reckon, and wouldn’t be going offroad.

    i broke my tibia, had metal work and bone graft and was told to not ride for 18 months for the coral to set bone hard etc…#i was riding herts 4 weeks later.

    I broke my tibia and a couple of other bones in my ankle in November 2010. Our wonderful NHS missed this when I went to A&E. It was only 4 months later after a referal from my doctor that it was spotted. Doc said ‘Bloody hell! That’s a right mess. How did they miss that?’ Probably explains why it still hurts quite a bit sometimes 14 months later……

    broke my tibia & fibula about 16 years ago
    9 months in plaster, its fine now, but at the time was very painful
    morphine was my friend
