I discovered one in a drinkery somewhere random like Reading that was reasonable. I bought it purely on the back of the name: “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Bitter.”
Tried all the Greenwich lagers between a group of friends and none of them were well received.
Which was a shame as I was really looking forward to a trip to the brewery.
I remember my mum buying me some Freedom lager, as it was from the local brewery, and it was pretty horrible. This was quite a while ago now, have they improved ? How long was Freedom brewery existed ?
Likewise I’ve brought some beers from my now local Binghams Brewery and they were awful too. However it had only been going 1 year at the time.
Thanks everyone, will give some of these a try (I usually have a bottle of wine and a few ales before work every morning you see, so I need some more variety).
There used to be Wrexham Lager but not seen that for a long time.
They’ve just started to brew it again.
I know the first of the new pints were poured in Bangor-on Dee and I’m trying to think where it’s being brewed. I can tell you it’s not on the old site.

Only available in pubs in the county.
😯
Yes, all right, most of the fizzy tasteless rubbish sold here is actually brewed in the UK, but it really doesn’t rate as beer, let alone lager.
‘Tis like making love in a boat… 😀
Joseph Holts from Manchester do a couple of very decent lagers – Crystal is the lighter one, has won a lot of awards.
Diamond, the stronger one, will destroy you mentally and physically, wonderful stuff 😀
