Myself and girlfreind have got a week off coming up very soon and want to book a very last minute sun holiday. Has anyone done this and what experience have you had?

When is the best time to book it and what companies/websites have you used

    Thanks

Travelzoo Came up with the goods for our October holiday to The Azores.

IM(limited)E, anything really cheap is really cheap for a reason.

We went last minute a few weeks ago to Menorca with James Villas. Booked it two days before we travelled and got flights, 3-bed villa with private pool, secluded location for £375 each.

Villa holiday = distinct lack of English bars/fried breakfasts FTW.

Recent thread on this very topic.

    Teletext was the answer IIRC.

just make sure you pay on credit card so if the travel provider goes bump you can claim it back!

~I always book last minute trips as it’s much cheaper genrally to do so, especially for two. not so much for families. sometimes it can be cheaper to do the leg work your self than booking a package but beware you don’t get as much protection than a package deal. check tripadvisor.com for an insight to the accom before you commit, though I wouldn’t take everything you read on there as gospel, more as a guide.
