When doing sweary battle in the garage earlier on a tyre that refuses to seat, i noticed the pump, does the flash charge thing, running down to about 30/40 psi then stops for 20-30 seconds and lets the rest out. Normally i wouldnt notice because the pressure normally equalises about there when the tyre pops into place, but it didnt so i did, is that normal ? Is it faulty? Has anyone else experienced this? Cant help wondoering if this a part of the problem im having with the tyre, but could be coincidental becuase a co2 cart failed too.

It might be a fault. Might be the valve connector. Have a look at the rubber inside. If it’s not to your satisfaction, take it back. Trek warranty is superb and you’ll most likely get a replacement.

I did remove the gubbins from the head, still does it, so i guess its further in. I’ll have to find the receipt must be approaching a year, not sure what the warranty is.
