Hi Guys, I’ve snapped up a very cheap 2011 (new style) fs pro frame from the classifieds with the intention of building it up for the Mrs. I’m a bit confused about a couple of features of the frame and I was hoping some of you knowledgable folks could shed some light…

Firstly, the frame hasn’t got a shock on it, does anyone know what eye to eye and stroke shock I need. Can’t find the info anywhere online… I’m guessing 190x50mm by the look of it.

Also the frame came without a maxle and I can’t see where it is supposed to thread in. Looking at photos online it looks like the maxle sldes into the non drive side and screws into the replacable dropout. However there are no threads in the dropout. Have the threads been stripped or is there another part missing?

    Thanks in advance!

    Yes theres another part missing.
The FS pro takes a 12 142 maxle lite, your frame like my bike needs something to screw it into
(I got mine 2nd hand and the previous owner had lost the retainer)
It’s not part of the dropout
In my case I found a pretty std M12 hex nut while I make enquiries with halfords.
It works but I don’t want that to be the long term solution

    Hope this helps
